Elder St Practice is seeking a VR General Practitioner to join our well-established team as a contracted GP, supporting the healthcare needs of our valued patients and local community through the delivery of high-quality General Practice and Allied Health services.
Located in Lambton (MMM1, DPA-approved), just minutes from John Hunter Hospital, we offer a supportive and collaborative clinical environment.

Appointments
Our surgery operates by appointments so that when you arrive at the surgery you will have minimal wait. We do not book a long time in advance so that you will generally be able to see your doctor within a few days of calling. Urgent appointments, if required, are usually able to be provided on the day.
Telehealth appointments are available. Please note that they may attract a charge and a Medicare rebate applies.
A convenient and intuitive mobile app for you from which you can make and manage appointments for your family, request repeat scripts & referrals and seamlessly connect to video consults. It enables you to look at past and future appointments and messages from esp.

MyMedicare
MyMedicare is an emerging government incentive system to identify your regular GP and practice. It can be used to access benefits such as improved telehealth and potential reductions in billing costs; particularly for those with Concession/Health Care Cards, Pension Cards or under 16 years of age.
You can apply via 3 options:
1) Sign a MyMedicare form in the practice
2) Complete, sign and email THIS FORM to
3) Register using your Medicare Online Account (MOA):
- Sign in to https://my.gov.au/ (create an account if you don’t have one)
or via the Express Plus Medicare Mobile App:

- Select Register for MyMedicare > Start
- Search for your practice > Elder St Practice > Lambton > Search
- Select “Your preferred GP” > Next
- Select “Submit registration”, then follow the prompts to complete your claim
